Find answers to common technical questions about logging in and accessing your assessment.
To create an account:
- Click the Login / Create account button in the main menu (or anywhere else you see it), then choose Sign up at the bottom of the login screen.
- Fill out the form. Required fields are marked with a red exclamation mark. Enter your full name exactly as you want it to appear on your Certificate.
- Click Create my new account. You’ll receive an email from smallmines@lgirs.wa.gov.au to confirm your registration—check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see it.
- Open the email and click the confirmation link to verify your address.
- Log in and start using SMSPA.
- Please check that your username and password are correct—they’re case sensitive.
- You can also use the Forgotten your username or password? link to reset your login details.
- If you don’t see your confirmation email within an hour, please check your junk or spam folder.
- If you think you entered your email incorrectly during registration, please contact us so we can help update your account.
- You can’t change your username, email, or name after registration. To update these, please contact us.
- To change your password, use the Forgotten password link on the login page.
You can try each quiz as many times as you need. The passing grade is 100%.
Yes. Your progress is saved automatically, and you can return later to continue.
No. You can leave the system and return later to continue your progress.
